Wilderness Survival Program ages 14-18 Learn backpacking skills, first aid, and other survival tips. Hear stories from survivalists; learn how to identify local plants and animal tracks. Several opportunities to go on hikes and camp.
Little Explorers Program ages 5-11 Designed for our youngest adventurers! These youngsters will learn about the importance of respecting and understanding the environment. Other activities include Native American crafting, journaling and outdoor games.
Future Scientists Program all ages For the kids who might want to pursue a career in science one day. Meet with marine biologists from your city's local aquarium and experience a day in their life. Learn about indigenous plants and wildlife. Take trips to local botanical gardens, science centers and wildlife reserves.
Food and Garden Program ages 12-18 Calling all chefs! This is your chance to learn how to take delicious ingredients from the great outdoors and put them on a plate. Kids will get to grow fresh fruits and veggies in their community's local p-patch. They'll learn other essential farming skills and even get to raise baby chicks. No animals will be harmed during this program.
Every program is three days a week after school. There is also an optional full day on Saturday for kids who want to participate. Snacks, meals and transportation will be provided by Youth Endeavors. There is also an option to bring food home, after the program ends for the day.
Kids ages 5-18, who are attending schools partnered with us, are encouraged to participate.
To find out if your school is partnered with us, contact the school's administration. Registration for programs takes place through the school. Your child will need to take home a registration form for a parent or guardian to fill out.
